Andrew J. Mostello, DO is an orthopaedic surgeon fellowship-trained in arthroscopy and sports medicine. He joins Longview Orthopaedic Center after serving as an attending surgeon at Rutgers–New Jersey Medical School. While there, he provided care to patients with musculoskeletal problems ranging from common and straightforward to rare and complex at University Hospital – a tertiary care, Level I trauma center located in Newark, NJ. As a clinical faculty member of the residency program, he also devoted his time to lecturing and instructing orthopaedic residents.
Dr. Mostello completed his training in orthopaedic surgery at the Rowan University - Inspira Medical Center residency program in Vineland, NJ. During his residency he received awards for his orthopaedic research projects, high achievement on the Orthopaedic In-Training Examination (OITE), and exemplary performance as a resident. Subsequently, Dr. Mostello completed a fellowship in arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine at Orthopaedic Research of Virginia (ORV) in Richmond, VA. As part of his fellowship, he worked alongside the team physicians and medical staff for the Virginia Tech Hokies and Washington Football Team and had the privilege to assist in the care of their athletes. Additionally, he served as the on-field physician for several local high school football teams and provided coverage for the 2019 Virginia Special Olympics.
Dr. Mostello’s academic achievements include multiple publications in orthopaedic research and presentations at local, regional, and national conferences. He is a member of the editorial board for Arthroscopy: The Journal of Arthroscopic and Related Research and reviewer for The American Journal of Sports Medicine.
Dr. Mostello enjoys treating patients of all ages and abilities - from weekend warriors to competitive athletes to active seniors. He is particularly interested in shoulder, elbow, and knee problems but has experience in other areas of the musculoskeletal system as well. His goal is to provide a patient-specific treatment plan through shared decision-making after a discussion of the diagnosis and available treatment options.
Dr. Mostello enjoys spending his spare time with his wife, daughter, and their dog Benji. He also enjoys playing a round of golf (or two) when possible.

Shoulder: instability, labral tears, biceps problems, rotator cuff tears, arthritis
